Innovation is part of our DNA, so in order to bring greater savings to users and generate greater value proposition, we trace market trends and we develop new technologies in collaboration with specialized companies and international research centres.
We implement own projects in order to carry out processes of continuous improvement, cost reduction in the final product, optimization of production processes, creation of own technology, increasing of internal knowledge; and of course, improvement of our human team capacity. To this end, our engineers specialize in technologies associated with specifications, tools and infrastructures in two different aspects: own R&D projects and joint projects with strategic partners.
WiseGRID’s main objective is to provide a set of solutions and technologies to increase the smartness, stability and security of an open, consumer-centric European energy grid. The project will combine an enhanced use of storage technologies, a highly increased share of Renewable Energy Sources (RES) and the integration of charging infrastructure to favour the large-scale deployment of electric vehicles. It will place citizens at the center of the transformation of the grid.
The Consortium is led by GRUPO ETRA and it has, together with Ampere Energy, the presence of companies and organizations from Spain, Belgium France, Italy, Germany, Greece, Romania and the United Kingdom.
The project goes beyond empowering prosumers. On top of having a consumer-centric approach, it will make a difference in the market by delivering tools that facilitate the creation of a healthy, open market where not only ‘traditional’ utilities but also players such as electric cooperatives and small and medium-sized enterprises can play an active role, contributing therefore effectively to the transition to energy democracy.
Integrate and demonstrate advanced demand management mechanisms that facilitate the active participation and empowerment of consumers and prosumers. Demonstration and validation of new business models to combine the resources of distributed energy, self-consumption and storage systems with an optimized utilization of distribution networks of all energy carriers. Development of methods to improve the control and automation of electricity distribution networks. Development of monitoring tools, with special monitoring of variable loads of generation and consumption, integration of virtual power stations and micro networks as balancing assets and management of the electricity network. Demonstration of energy storage technologies and / or connections between the electricity grid and other energy networks. Intelligent integration of energy transport network users for VE recharge, providing storage capacity or to supply electricity to the grid.
